In 1998 she received her Master's Degree of Physical Therapy from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and Rutgers University, and her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2004.
Dr. Tatum began her career at Bryn Mawr Rehab working in the Brain Injury, Spinal Cord, Stroke, and Orthopedics Units, where she worked for 10 years. She then branched into Pediatrics working with babies and children with varying genetic diseases and disorders. She currently works primarily in the Outpatient Orthopedic setting where she has opened her own mobile practice treating athletes with varying sports-related injuries, dancers and musicians with Performing Arts-related injuries, Women's Health issues such as Pelvic pain and Urinary Incontinence, and to her passion of working with people that have chronic pain, especially those with headaches, neck pain, and temporomandibular joint pain.
Dr. Tatum considers it an honor and privilege to have studied for many years under instruction from these highly intelligent leaders in Physical Therapy: Dr. Jeffrey Mannheimer, PT, Ph.D, CODN, CCTT, and Dr. Mariano Rocabado, PT, DPT, CCTT. In 2022, after long years of study and treatment of patients with headaches, neck pain and temporomandibular joint pain, she sat for Board Certification examination and became a Certified Cervical and Craniomandibular Therapist (CCTT) by the Physical Therapy Board of Craniofacial and Cervical Therapeutics PTBCCTT.org.
Dr. Tatum volunteers her time for FIRST Robotics as a STEM Coordinator for students; for Dancers at Chester Valley Dance Academy to prevent injuries and prepare ballerinas for Pointe; and for Oarsmen at Devon Preparatory School to prevent injuries for rowing and to help teach proper rowing technique. She has adjunct faculty responsibilities at St. Joseph's University, and Widener University where she assists in teaching labs and grading Physical Therapy students during their midterm and final examinations.
Dr. Tatum opened Hope OnBoard Mobile Physical Therapy & Performance, LLC in 2021 during the Pandemic in order to reach those individuals that were fearful of contracting Covid, and in order to make their life a little easier during the challenging times she travels to her patients to treat them. Since implementing care without insurance restrictions, she has found that the individualized one-to-one, hour-long care has resulted in her patients healing in half of the time as they would have in a conventional setting where they could be treated along with several other patients at once. Her motto is to Never Give Up as she believes that nothing is impossible.
Besides her passion in healing people that are in pain, her true passion is being with her family including her husband, son and daughter.
