Liz’s graduated from the University of Vermont in 1981 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. She attended New York University for graduate studies in biomechanics and obtained the Doctor of Science (DSc) in advanced orthopedic physical therapy practice at Andrews University. Liz has also been awarded Fellow status by the American Academy  of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy  (FAAOMPT), has maintained Board Certification (OCS) awarded by the American Physical therapy Association (APTA) in Orthopaedics and was awarded board certification as a Certified Cervical & Temporomandibular Therapist (CCTT) by the Physical Therapy Board of Craniofacial & Cervical Therapeutics. She is certified in Dry Needling by Kineticore.

Liz first started work specifically with TMD dysfunction and craniofacial injury early in her career in the early 80s when working with stunt men and women working in the film and television industry in Los Angeles. She moved to New York City in 1985 and began working with professional dancers, ice skaters and gymnasts, some of who had cranio-vertebral and cranio-mandibular dysfunction from dance, collisions with other performers, or from heavy/elaborate headpieces worn in performances (think Lion King). Throughout the decades of her practice she has sought to improve her knowledge in this area through study with Erl Pettman, Jim Meadows, Margaretta Jurak, Jeffrey Mannheim, Howard Makofsky, and the CRAFTA program.

Liz was on faculty with NAIOMT over the past decade and taught Cervical Spine manual therapy and management in their certification program as well as Orofacial and Craniofacial management to their fellows-in-training. In 2025 she started LifeForce Education dedicated to teaching comprehensive Orofacial Craniofacial management with courses.
