Joyce Clark graduated from the University of Alberta in May 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. She had the good fortune to take a course with Dr. Rocabado in 1985 and has been interested in TMJ disorders since that time.

With over 30 years treating orthopaedic conditions, Joyce holds extensive experience in providing knowledgeable and compassionate physical therapy. She has taken numerous courses and attended conferences including many on manual therapy of the spine and periphery, TMJ assessment and treatment , muscle balance, vestibular rehabilitation, craniosacral therapy, advanced physiology, and patient wellness and meditation.

Joyce did a self study of TMJ anatomy in 1995 at the University of Calgary and taught TMJ anatomy and treatment to physical therapists. She has taught numerous in-services on TMJ anatomy and treatment over many years ,primarily in Canada but also in Bhutan and when working in the US She teaches two  day introductory temporomandibular courses to physical therapists, with the most recent in November 2023. 

She completed her Certificate in Pain Management ( PgCPain ) in 2013, and became licensed in Diagnostic Imaging in Physical Therapy in 2015. In 2017 Joyce completed her certification as a Certified Cervical and Temporomandibular Therapist (CCTT) by the Physical Therapy Board of Craniofacial and Cervical Therapeutics.

She is member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and a registered member of the College of Physical Therapists of Alberta and College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia.
